Before founding Albatross Healthcare, I spent over 10 years in the insurance industry in various roles, and watched how international health insurance was typically sold in the UK: by general insurance brokers or financial advisers who treated it as an afterthought. Many only compared purely on price, and policies were often sold by large firms where your policy is one of thousands being processed by whoever picks up the phone that day.
